Tenet is also an time based sci-fic movie but the concept of the movie was complicated, let me  tell you the way I understood the concept, if you wanna travel through time from one year to another most of the movies show just we can jump to this year to that year but in tenet it's different and more practical. Like if we wanna travel 2024 to 2020 we have move through the time in a reverse manner each and every minute, like we can't directly jump to 2020. We have to go through each and every day in 2024,2023,2022,2021 then we can reach 2020. This was the concept of tenet. 

The name tenet itself is an representation, if we read it from back then also it will give us a name tenet. A mission was assigned to the protagonist to save the world from future us and it was done with the help of Neil a guy from future and as usual in the movies of Nolan there will be no CGI, this movie is also not a exceptional, There is a scene of a plane crashing and it was taken without CGI. The movie can't be understand by watching single time. You should watch every  second clearly to understand the core concept of the movie.
